GUARANTEED SURFACE FINISH QUALITY AND CONSISTENT SERIAL REPEATABILITY
The furniture industry has been changing rapidly in recent years. Although high-gloss surfaces still have their place in production, matte finishes and surfaces that require precise preparation before painting are becoming increasingly popular. In response to these needs, Coner offers automatic machines designed for both polishing and sanding surfaces.
The machine significantly reduces labor requirements and eliminates many problems associated with manual surface finishing. In traditional processes, achieving consistent results is a major challenge—both in obtaining high gloss and in preparing surfaces evenly for further production stages. Automation of the process ensures constant quality, precision, and control over machining parameters, while reducing manual work to a minimum.
The machine has been designed as a response to the needs of modern furniture production, where preparing elements for painting is just as important as polishing. Equipped with the appropriate sanding head, it can effectively process raw MDF, preparing the surface for primer and subsequent lacquer layers. The device also performs very well when processing materials such as Corian (solid surface), veneer, or raw wood.
The machine operates with a wide range of adjustable parameters, such as processing speed, pressure force, and head rotation speed. Another important feature is the ability to precisely control the work near the edges of the element, known as margins. All these parameters can be freely configured, allowing the process to be adapted to both sanding and polishing of different surfaces.
Thanks to the flexible configuration, it is possible to create individual working cycles that take into account lacquer hardness, material type, surface color, or the required level of gloss or matte finish. The device can operate both as a polishing machine and as a sanding machine, which significantly increases its versatility and distinguishes it from many solutions available on the market.
Another important advantage of the machine is its compact design and the quick replacement of working tools—both polishing pads and abrasive materials. This makes the machine suitable not only for large production plants but also for smaller companies where flexibility and the ability to quickly adapt the process to different types of orders are essential.
Implementing this machine allows companies to transfer the best finishing practices into an automated production process while simplifying the operator’s work and increasing the repeatability of the final result. For many businesses, this represents not only an improvement in production efficiency but also a solution to the challenge of achieving high-quality surface finishes in a stable and predictable way.
